Promoting excellence in ringing around the world

Welcome Guest

July Country Meeting, Saturday 11th July 2026

Event has now expired

The July country meeting will be held in Birmingham

As is usual the event will cover three days of peal attempts, a tour preceding the meeting and a meal on the Saturday evening followed by a Ceilidh. Please sign up now for what promises to be a great weekend. Towers will be either walkable or via public transport.

Peals and Event Programme

There are many peal towers available for peals, which are available on Thursday 9 July, Friday 10 July and in the morning of Saturday 11 July.

Thursday and Friday

The suggested Thursday pub is The Bull Public House, 1 Price St, Birmingham B4 6JU, just outside the centre. They do excellent beer and reasonably price food. On Friday the pub is likely to be the Wellington, 37 Bennett's Hill, Birmingham B2 5SN, upstairs room, where people can bring their own food (there is no food service).

General Ringing

There will be a tour of towers in the area on Saturday, details tbc. Immediately before the meeting there will be open ringing at The Bullring and then at Edgbaston (which has plenty of free parking). It’s then a 20min walk or 5mins on X21/22/20 to the venue from Edgbaston.

Meeting

The meeting and evening event will be at the University of Birmingham’s Guild of Student’s Debating Hall, which is on the first floor of the Guild of Students, University of Birmingham, Edgbaston, Birmingham B15 2TT

Below gives an idea of access:

Post meeting function
