Claire Roulstone

Claire became an officer at the 2018 AGM and succeeded Barry Mack as Honorary Treasurer. She works closely with the other officers in looking after the financial affairs of the Society, including the Bell Restoration Fund, which is a registered charity.

Claire is a member of the St Paul's Cathedral Guild of Ringers and a member of the local band at the five-bell tower Silchester in Hampshire. A prolific peal ringer, she served the Oxford Diocesan Guild as Peal Secretary for eleven years and is currently a Director of the Ringing World Ltd, having succeeded Ian Oram in the role of Company Secretary.

She spent 25 years working as a civilian specialist for the Metropolitan Police dealing with various aspects of Criminal Justice and latterly the investigation of complaints made by members of the public. Claire currently works for a training provider, supporting the training function and maintaining training records for the Army.

Other interests include horse riding and gardening.

She brings both her administrative skills and her perspective as a practical ringer to the role.

What does the Honorary Treasurer do?

The Treasurer looks after the Society's accounts. The Treasurer updates members at each business meeting on the state of the Society's finances and produces annual accounts. The Treasurer is often to be found at home, making sure the books balance.
