Barry Mack

Barry was taught to ring by Revd Nick Holtam (newly elected an Honorary Member of SRCY, previously Vicar at St Martin-in-the-Fields) at St Andrew's Enfield in 1976. He read Mathematics at Sheffield University, joined the university ringing guild and met his wife Judith; together they joined the Society in 1999 and their two sons Thomas and Edward are now also members.
Barry is currently the Ringing Master for the St Albans' District of the Hertford County Association and his home tower is St Peter's, St Albans.

Barry is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and works in pensions, mainly in London but increasingly in Glasgow too!

When not ringing or working, Barry enjoys watching F1 with his two sons (when they're at home) and photography.

What does the Honorary Treasurer do?

The Treasurer looks after the Society's accounts. The Treasurer updates members at each business meeting on the state of the Society's finances and produces annual accounts. The Treasurer is often to be found at home, making sure the books balance.
